A lot of times you go to the mechanic they'll offer to do it for you but you can actually do it way cheaper on your own. It's a good idea to do every once in a while maybe every five years to swap one of these out just because it does collect a lot of dirt and particles and debris that's coming in through the vehicles recycled air and catches it here. That way it doesn't come through the vents. more

We'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install a PTC cabin air filter.Our cabin air filter is going to filter that air from our AC unit coming into our cabin. Now, it is a good thing to change this out regularly. Personally, I do mine about every six months. It just kind of helps keep the air not only cleaner for us, but also cleaner for our passengers coming through our air vents. more

Now, what a lot of people don't realize is that, actually most new cars do have a cabin filter in them. And what your cabin filter does, is the same thing that your forest filter does for your house. It's going to filter all the air that's coming from the outside of our vehicle, and filter it before it comes through the fence. Shane: Hey guys. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty. I'm going to walk you through how to replace the cabin air filter. What happens with an air filter like this is if you don't change them, anything from outside that gets through potentially coming into your cabin, the filter is going to stop it. But if you don't change it out once a year or at least check it once a year, it's going to fill up in the bottom side of that and what that's doing is as the air flows through it, if that is clogged, one, it's pushing air through that. more

Replacing your cabin air filter is not only going to give you better air quality, but it's going to improve the heating and air conditioning system so that it can flow smoother through the filter you want to be over in your front passenger side.
